ReConserve of Indiana currently has two openings for the front end loader positions. Job Summary: Our ideal candidate has experience with the safe operation of a front end wheel loader and material handling to successfully meet the companies standards of safety, productivity and security. The candidate must be able to accurately receive material and or ship outbound finished product, capture required information and complete necessary documentation. Experience in the food manufacturing industry a plus. Raw Bay Operator: The Loader Operator is responsible to correctly, safely and efficiently move, convey and store various bulk and packaged food material products and grain milling by-products. The Loader Operator plays an important role in the efficiency of plant operations by managing consistent material flow to the plant for processing. The operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment, pride and ownership in running and maintaining the equipment is critical. Finished Feed Operator: The Loader Operator is responsible to insure outbound loads are scaled in and out correctly, inbound supplement loads are received in and product is sent to the right location. In addition, all related paperwork is accurately filled out. The operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment, pride and ownership in running and maintaining the equipment is critical. Work Schedule: • 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with safety programs and procedures. • Continually mount and dismount the equipment being operated. • Requires sure footing and balance due to the potential of a slick environment. • Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain cleanliness of equipment. • Routine filter, radiator and lubrication checks / cleaning. • Previous experience with operating a wheel loader & material handling equipment required. • Must make it a priority to maintain your work area, equipment and facilities properly. • Situational awareness is a must do when working around heavy equipment and machinery (good vision and hearing) Compensation and Benefits: We offer a generous benefits package including: • 401(k) plan with company match • Health Insurance • Dental and Vision insurance available • Flexible Spending Accounts • Paid Vacation and Holidays Required Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. • You must have reliable transportation to be available for your scheduled work hours. Physical Demands and Requirements: This job can be physically strenuous from time to time. You will be expected to be able to work in tight and or confined spaces, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and work at varying heights from time to time. Conditions reflect the current season in and around the plant. Must be comfortable with a drug screen and background check. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $19.50 to $24.50 /hour – Commensurate on Experience Experience: • Front End Loader: 1 year (Preferred) • Skid Loader / Forklift Experience a Plus
