Description

SOUND GUY WANTED We are a Rock/Classic Rock/Pop-Country Cover Band working the Lake of the Ozarks area. Through COVID and life changes, we’ve switched-up membership and have arrived at our final 4-piece ensemble, ready to gig this summer and for the next several years (VOX, guitar, bass & drums). We’ve all had extensive experience playing and gigging. We use pro gear and have pro attitudes. Planning to gig several times per month (but probably not every weekend). We’ve got 2 PA’s – one PA relatively small, used for rehearsals (but can be used for smaller clubs – with powered speakers & wedges), and one HUGE PA (11000+ watts) that’s presently sitting in storage. Three boards available for use, plus cables, mics, snake, etc. Just missing the Sound Guy. We’ve got several options to work through this, and are completely willing to negotiate/collaborate to arrive at a solution that will be beneficial to everyone: Option 1) You basically become a 5th member of the band. You rehearse with us. Learn the ins and outs of our equipment. Everyone helps load in & out, but you set up & tear down the gear you’re responsible for. Compensation can be set up as an equal division (split 5-ways), or a flat fee per show. We’re willing to discuss all compensation options. Option 2) You provide and set up your own PA, and charge per show. Local practice dictates that this is usually a flat rate. Again, we’re willing to discuss all compensation options and negotiate. We’d be happy to provide a contract for your guaranteed services on specific dates (TBD). Option 3) Some kind of combination of Options 1 & 2. Option 4) Some other Option that we haven’t thought of that may be mutually beneficial. To reiterate, we’re willing to discuss any and all ideas and options, including compensation. Lighting experience and resources also come into play. We have minimal lighting resources, but acknowledge that’s another important role we will need to fill. We’d like to hear your thoughts. Contact Doug (I prefer a phone call, rather than email.)
