37 year old baritone/low tenor looking to form a lounge duo, featuring mostly vintage jazz, pop, r&b covers (40s-early 60s) and newer songs done in that style. I play guitar and sing, but want to focus on singing for this project Small sampler of acts we might cover- Sinatra, Mel Torme, Tommy Dorsey, Johnny Mercer, Smokey Robinson, Percy Mayfield, Coasters, Al Bowlly, Ink Spots, Glenn Miller, Chet Baker, various showtunes and jazz standards Should be able to improvise over jazz changes and be able to play by ear, even when sheet music is available. Ability to harmonize as needed a plus Please have your own gear for gigging purposes as at some point I'll want to take this on the road Practice will be once a week.
