Riverside Reload Center is a Vermont Rail System served transload and warehouse facility located off U.S. Route 5 in Bellows Falls, Vermont. RIVERSIDE RELOAD provides rail shippers with access to 40 acres of outdoor storage, 34,000 s/f of indoor storage • Dock and ground level transloading capability • 17 rail car unloading/loading spots and 40 storage spots • Stenciling, banding, and wrapping • 40,000 lb. lift truck capacity YARDMAN/MACHINE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  This entry-level position will perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing up and down, lifting heavy objects, undoing heavy cables and straps on cars, bending, balancing, stretching and handling of materials.  Communicating with supervisors, co-workers and paying close attention to detail.  Lubricate machines, change oils, filters, tires, and to top off fluids daily.  Clean and make minor repairs to machinery.  Ability to work adverse shifts or at the shop if needed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  18 years of age or older.  Must be able to read, write, basic math, comprehend and communicate (speak, hear, and understand) English.  Must be able to follow written and verbal directions.  Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including inclement and extreme temperatures.  Comply with all company and OSHA safety procedures, policies, and rules including wearing of all safety gear required. BASIC PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:  Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.  Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, stretch, and balance for extended periods of time.  Must be able to operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.  Must be able to reach above and over shoulders.  Must be able to work with loud noises, chemicals, fumes, and dust.  Must be able to perform heavy manual labor.
