As a nation, we briefly got it in 1865. And again in 1945. Why are we so clueless? Why does it take a war for us to realize we are ALL American citizens? Moderate Democrats and Republicans are nearly indistinguishable save one or two issues. It is the fringes, the extremes that separate us. When you go to Truist Park or the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, you sit next to tens of thousands of people, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, every possible religion, yet all get along famously. It is only when someone tries to preach politics or religion that all hell breaks out. If it were only juvenile (and it certainly is) to hate someone with the vehemence in your post solely because of political party, I would leave it alone. But it's more than that, isn't it? It is dangerous. For a nation divided makes it so simple for someone to march right in and take over. Stop being part of the problem, my friend. Had you served only one week in the military, you would have had drummed into your head that only traitors attack fellow American citizens unprovoked. Shame!
