DUTIES: • Daily upkeep of facility with the focus on safety as a priority • Conducting routine inspections and performing preventative maintenance of premises and facility equipment • Handling basic repairs all facility construction, machinery, coolers, wash table, sorting tables, tubing machines, ceiling machines, pallet wrapping machines, etc. • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and correct them • Conducting maintenance in elements such as freezers, wet rooms, rooftops, loading docks • Use outdoor forklift to load and unload materials from trucks • Placing debris and refuse in dumpster and stacking pallets in an orderly manner • Outdoor maintenance of grounds includes Winter - snow blowing sidewalks as well as de-icing them with push spreader of ice melt Spring - lawn mowing, weed whacking, hedge trimming, leaf blowing and blowing debris Fall - leaf removal REQUIREMENTS: • 3 years’ experience in field of maintenance and repair • Must possess a valid driver’s license • Related work experience in fields such as construction, plumbing, electrical, automotive repair shop, apprenticeships, helper status are all a plus • Knowledge of 110 / 220-voltage systems (machinery, lighting, garage door motors, etc.) • Knowledge of various tools and their uses • Knowledge of outdoor forklift • Skilled in using various hand and power tools • Ability to read repair manuals and schematics • Strong organizational and follow-up skills • Ability to maintain focus while working alone • Good time-management skills • Ability to complete tasks to allow minimal down time for our facility • Follow through on projects from start to finish • Ability to work with a team or individually
