Get ready to have fun cleaning the beach while learning about Florida Nature with Professor Screech! May 15, 3:30-5pm – Living Shoreline Volunteer Day at Jewell-Steinhardt CoveAll ages and abilities welcome. Meet Professor Screech and the Lake Worth Waterkeepers on the shoreline across the street from the Lake Worth Beach Municipal Beach (park in the metered parking lot along A1A and walk across the street to where you’ll see a bus stop bench and interpretive sign). You can help maintain our beautiful living shoreline, get volunteer hours if you need them, and you'll learn something new about Florida nature from Professor Screech! As “adopters” of the Jewell-Steinhardt Cove living shoreline project in Lake Worth Beach we proudly take on the maintenance for this project so that we can make the Lake Worth Lagoon a better place for all. Come prepared to get dirty and sweaty, and wear shoes that can get wet. Remember your reusable water bottle, a hat and reef-friendly sunscreen. 🙂 Click here to learn more about the Waterkeepers !
