Medford Student Leads Charge To Outfit Schools With Safety Kits

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford middle-schooler organized a drive to put together COVID-19 prevention kits for three schools, going so far as to bankroll part of the effort herself. Delilah Putnam Bagley, a student at Andrews Middle School, received donations from Costco and Bart's Ice Cream, and pitched in her dog-walking money from the summer to provide masks for 750 students. Following their sister's lead, Delilah's siblings, Orlando and Isabella, also donated money from their summer jobs. The kits will provide masks for 750 students, as well as other sanitary items like bleach, soap and antibacterial wipes. Delilah wants the kits to go to Andrews Middle School, the Brooks Elementary School and Medford High School.
