4-Month Mini Construction Crew Lead

Hello. Redmellon is award-winning developer in New Orleans. An award-winning housing developer that was walloped by Hurricane Ida. An award-winning developer that has filed 97 individual insurance claims. This is where you come in. We need a capable, experienced Mini-Construction Crew Lead for a 4 month job. Since our repairs are often the same house after house, we have split our crews into different specialties: outside repair crews (carpentry, yard work, pressure washing), inside repair crews, drywall and painting, flooring, and HVAC. The crews will be 2-3 people plus yourself. You will be responsible for bringing all required supplies to the job, communicating with supervisors about work as it is being done, and providing photo documentation of the work so we have a log of work completed. You must have experience in construction and being in a leadership position. This is NOT a position where you call all the shots. We are NOT looking for contractors who expect to do the work their own way: we have the same repairs over and over, so we are trying to be as efficient as possible. We need people who are independent thinkers and can problem solve, but are just as happy to follow direction. You must have a truck and a smartphone, and be willing to work long hours. We reimburse for mileage. You will be a 1099 Contract worker paid biweekly. Qualifications include familiarity and comfort with a range of general construction skills well as strong communication and organizational skills.
