MEDFORD, MA — The dust is still settling on a historic election, and the question of who will be president in 2021 is still unclear. But one thing is clear: Medford overwhelmingly showed up in support of Democratic candidates, heavily favoring Joe Biden over President Donald Trump and voting to re-elect Sen. Ed Markey and Rep. Katherine Clark. Medford voted in favor of the right to repair ballot question, which won handily in Massachusetts. However, Medford deviated from the rest of the state on Question 2, voting in favor of ranked-choice voting. The measure failed to pass with 54 percent of voters against and 43 percent in favor. Turnout was high in Medford, with more than 31,000 voters casting ballots.
