On May 12, MHSA will be hosting our Gala where we will be Honoring Governor Charlie Baker with the G. Peter Donovan Human Service Award We believe that now, in his final year in office, is the most appropriate time to celebrate the dedicated efforts of the Governor, and his administration, which have included: Directly addressing the opioid epidemic and working toward its elimination; moving individuals and families into permanent housing; supporting the creation of new housing for all income levels; providing vital relief to frontline staff during the COVID-19 pandemic; and his plan to create a behavioral health roadmap and provide new funding to tackle longstanding access issues. We are indeed grateful for the tremendous leadership that he has demonstrated, particularly over these last two years.I hope that you will consider attending and/or sponsoring this very special event, our first since the onset of the pandemic, in this new and exciting venue, so that we can achieve – and hopefully even exceed – our ambitious fundraising goal. Meeting this goal will enable our nonprofit to further its mission and provide essential services to people in need.
