Come celebrate with us the day after Earth Day for a creek cleanup in Boulder, Colorado!
Healthy rivers help keep our ocean healthy, and our rivers on the front range meet up with other rivers that eventually flow to the sea, carrying with them the trash that ends up in our waterways.
**Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many to expect**
We'll meet at the Cottonwood Trailhead parking lot (5102 Independence Road, Boulder, CO). Most of the trash is a bit further down the trail so we'll walk for 10 minutes or so before we reach most of it (though there is still some in the early stretches). Luckily it's a beautiful trail.
Please bring gloves if you have them, a small backpack to carry water, and anything you might want to take with you. Wearing wading boots or high rain boots that you can get in the river with is encouraged if you have them! The trash along this trail is spread out in the fields and much of it is in the creek, so the more people with high waterproof footwear the better. For those who don't want to get in the water or don't have the proper footwear, there's still plenty of trash in the fields and along the trail.
