Come join Keep Nature Wild and Lady Justice Brewing to cleanup Aurora with a social at Lady Justice Brewing after! Come join Keep Nature Wild & Lady Justice Brewing for a trash cleanup in Aurora, with a meet up at Lady Justice Brewing taproom down the road immediately following the event! Keep Nature Wild is an organization with a mission to spark connection, build community, and to make our planet a better place. Keep Nature Wild core values are to give back to the community, be inclusive, do what you love and radiate positivity. Anyone can make an impact in the Keep Nature Wild community by logging their impact - volunteers log pounds of trash collected at cleanups, as the Keep Nature Wild promise is to pick up one pound of trash for every item sold on their website (hats, hoodies, fanny packs, pet accessories, stickers, water bottles, and more!). Lady Justice Brewing will be offering same-day specials for Keep Nature Wild Cleanup participants! Lady Justice Brewing is a community-focused brewery dedicating time, space, and money to nonprofits and community partners that support and empower women and girls in the state of Colorado. Their giving is focused in two direct ways: through their Community-Supported Beer (CSB) memberships with 100% of profits over cost going directly to nonprofit partners, and through the fabric of the taproom community, highlighting opportunities to volunteer, collaboration brews, and more. Their mission is simple: they’re brewing great beer to make the world a better place. Carry-in food is allowed! Take a look at restaurants nearby Lady Justice or bring your faves. They have soft fresh baked pretzels and snacks (vegan and GF included), N/A beverages and merchandise available for purchase. Bring friends, family, leashed/friendly pets and more friends! When: 05/14/2022 from 9:45am-12pm, with meet up at Lady Justice Brewing immediately following Where: Montview Park 1901 Chester St, Aurora, CO 80010 - Meet at the pavilion near the playground Important info: The area packed with the most trash is along the bank the river that runs through the park. We welcome you to wear waterproof shoes and/or waders if you’re wanting to get in the river with us! Stuff to Know Wear outdoor appropriate attire and your Keep Nature Wild gear is always a plus :) Shoes/boots and long pants are always recommended as well as a hat or some form of shade. Parking: We will be meeting at Montview Park. There is street parking along the park, and near the playground/pavilion. We will provide bags and gloves. Feel free to bring trash grabbers and buckets in lieu of bags. You don’t need any sort of pass or permit for this event. Cleanup events are inherently dangerous and can be strenuous. We will be reviewing safety precautions prior to the cleanup.
