Make a zine all about Boulder! At these 3 workshops, we’ll create pages that will be published in a community zine this year. Sign up today on the Junkyard Social Club website: https://junkyardsocialclub.org/events/ At each workshop, we’ll get to know each other, do a design activity, and talk about our ideas. The workshops are for everyone, no matter how long you’ve lived in Boulder. Kids are welcome! Thurs. April 7: Paths we travel on - All about transit! We’ll explore the topic through a creative mapping exercise. With Elaine C. Erb, Sustainable Transportation Planner at Boulder Transportation Connections. Thurs. April 21: At home in Boulder - Through drawing exercises, we’ll explore the topic of home from different angles. With Kathleen King, City Principal Planner at the City of Boulder. Thurs. May 5: Spaces we share - About all types of shared spaces, from parks to parking lots. Ryan Madson of the Junkyard Social Club will guide us on a photo walk. With Shawhin Roudbari, Assistant Professor of Architecture at CU Boulder. All workshops take place at the Junkyard Social Club from 3:30-5:30pm. All participants get a free copy of the zine and an invitation to the launch party this fall. The zine will be part of a group show at the BMOCA and distributed throughout Boulder. Registration is $5/workshop, or $10 for all 3 workshops.
