In this exhibit, you'll encounter themes of what it meant to be Mexican-American in the 20th century and what democracy meant in California.
Join us for a celebration of the life and career of Cruz Reynoso.
This special event will be hosted by the Marchand Public Engagement Initiative, a collaboration of campus and statewide partners dedicated to advancing public service and education.
Tour a public exhibit, curated from the personal papers of Cruz Reynoso, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the first Chicano Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court, and a Professor at the UC Davis School of Law, to consider questions of identity and democracy in 20th Century California.
Hear from members of the Reynoso family, as well as the UC Davis students who curated the exhibit. Following the presentations, join us for refreshments and conversation.
