Let's reach KC together! I know you want to see the Great Commission fulfilled and for KC to lead the way in making progress toward it. But how? One thing we know, we can only reach Kansas City if we do it together. Several of us are working on an idea to meet this need, and we think you may be a part of the solution. You’ve probably noticed like we have that there is often a diminishing return when we try to work across the distance of the whole city but when churches and ministries in a Region collaborate and support each other, they can make a needed difference that is sustainable. Rob Wegner (KC Underground) and Matt Adams (Westside Family Church) have agreed to lead Region 4, Johnson County, and you are invited to collaborate. This is a new effort that we think has sustainability. Would you be willing to join us June 1 from 10:00-12:00 at the Lenexa Public Market at the Prairie Star Conference Room (located on the second floor) ? We will give you more detail then. We are imagining a future where each region meets 2x a year in meetings like this where we work together to assess how our region is doing in 5 key areas: PrayerBible EngagementEvangelism/DiscipleshipCompassion/JusticeChurch or micro-church plantingWe will track the fruitfulness through the year in each region, and once a year each of the regions meet to gain an assessment of the progress we are making across the city over time. It will take us time and effort to establish a baseline but in a couple of years we will have a picture of what is happening across our city. Where there is progress, we will attempt to replicate it in the other regions. Where these is need, we will attempt to rally to the need. Gary, Matt and Rob
