Lover has been chosen as the hit to focus on as it was Les’ first hit and was made on the Lathe, which we have on exhibit. Sean has spent months researching how Les made Lover. In the biography, Les Paul in His Own Words, Les notes that he spent hundreds on acetate discs while recording Lover. Sean, a guitarist himself, will perform excerpts using a guitar and machines. He will also include a note-by-note transcription. Anyone interested in this kind of recording will not want to miss this unusual program.
