Create museum connections for your homeschool students by attending one of the Carter’s quarterly homeschool programs. Explore the galleries with museum educators, get an up-close look at special exhibitions, and create your own artwork inspired by what’s on view. Much of art is about storytelling. Explore how artists draw inspiration from the stories of others and tell new stories through their artworks. After touring the Carter's special exhibitions ¡Printing the Revolution!: The Rise and Impact of Chicano Graphics, 1965 to Now and Stephanie Syjuco: Double Vision, participants will reflect on their special memories and stories, and then infuse those into their own artistic creations. This program is designed for students ages 5 to17. Participants are asked to stay in family units with their adult caregivers for this program. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request. Questions? Email [email protected] or call 817.989.5036. Free, but reservations are required. Registration opens April 20. The artworks in ¡Printing the Revolution!: The Rise and Impact of Chicano Graphics, 1965 to Now feature a variety of artists’ opinions. These perspectives are expressed through many avenues, including text. Some work use strong language and we wanted you to be aware prior to your visit.
