Middlesex County author and resident Deepti Paikray will read and discuss her new book, Stories at My Doorstep at the Iselin Branch Library on Saturday, April 30 @ 1pm.
In this collection of 21 essays and short stories, Deepti Paikray takes the reader into essential moments in the lives of people. Her characters are ordinary people trying to find a sense of quiet purpose in their life.
Deepti is a mom and freelance writer. She teaches creative writing to adults and children. Her articles have appeared in The Indian Express, Life Positive and Hinduism Today. She loves to prod at stories lurking beneath the dust of life and believes writing and motherhood completes her in wondrous and mysterious ways. Deepti spent long years working in the corporate world, then picked up the pen. She believes she inherited the gift of writing from her father.
