Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy presents its first Self Confidence Workshop!!! Join IHSCA for a special experience that will leave you feeling inspired, empowered and connected. On this day you will meet three amazing panelist with amazing and inspiring stories that will leave you wanting more. We will hear stories about the struggles we all face and how they overcame them. Together we will find our voices, strength and courage to keep going! There is nothing stronger than having a community. Refreshments and food will be served. We will also have some raffle items, don't miss this opportunity! Meet Javier Gutierrez: Javier is a bilingual actor from Monterrey, Mexico​ currently living and working in Chicago, IL. Javier has a wide range of expertise in health and fitness, acting, and public speaking. He is a motivated and passionate entrepreneur who values living his approach to health & wellness. ​ With more than 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, he works to empower people inside and outside of the gym to adopt a healthy mind and body. His approach towards a positive mindset and lifestyle has led to invitations to speak at local charity, non-profit, and corporate events. ​Along with his establishment as a public speaker, Javier has more than 3 years of acting experience including but not limited to commercial and movie roles, voice-over acting, as well as print work. Meet Jackie Camacho: Jacqueline S. Ruiz is a visionary social entrepreneur that has created an enterprise of inspiration. Her keen sense of service coupled with the vision to bring good to the world have led her to create two successful award-winning companies, two nonprofit organizations, publish over a dozen books, created many products, and held dozens of events around the world in just the past decade. She is often referred to as a “dream catcher” as her strategies have supported thousands of women, authors and young ladies achieve their a life of significance. Jacqueline’s quest to be a servant leader extends to every area of her life. She has shared her inspiration in four continents and aligned with some of the powerful brands to elevate others. At her young age, she has achieved what most would not do in an entire lifetime. Being a cancer survivor sparked a sense of urgency to serve and transcend. Born in Mexico City, Jacqueline S. Ruiz moved to the United States at age 14 where she learned English and German shortly after. From a very early age Jackie devoured amazing literature. Authors like Dale Carnegie, Zig Ziglar, Napoleon Hill and other business icons influenced the launch of her award-winning marketing and public relations agency JJR Marketing in 2006. She is a regular guest on TV and radio including CBS World News, CBS Chicago, WGN-TV, ABC7 News, WGN Radio 720, Univision, and has been featured in Forbes Magazine, INC and many others. Jacqueline believes that magix (yes, a made up word that means magic x 10) is the interception of profit and impact. She is one of the few Latina sports airplane pilots in the United States and is about to embark on the historic air race that 20 women flyers participated in crossing the United States 91 years ago, including the famous Amelia Earhart. Jacqueline believes that “taking off is optional, landing on your dreams is mandatory.” Meet Alfredo Tovar: Alfredo Tovar joined Sherwood Law Group as an associate attorney in November of 2018. Alfredo focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, general litigation, corporate litigation, and other corporate matters. During his time at Sherwood Law Group, Alfredo has represented a multitude of clients in all types of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including real estate closings, short sales, leasing, and loan agreements. He has also spearheaded several lawsuits in claims related to landlord/tenant disputes, property damage, foreclosure, breach of contract, collections, corporate fraud, and other commercial litigation. Alfredo enjoys the challenge of intricate legal questions and approaches every matter with an open mind and a willingness to learn. He keeps an open channel of communication with all of his clients and believes that being a well-rounded attorney allows him to effectively educate his clients and assist them in achieving the best outcome. Alfredo graduated from Dominican University in 2013, earning a degree in Political Science with a concentration in Law. He went on to obtain his law degree from DePaul University’s College of Law in May 2018. While in law school, Alfredo enjoyed success in various transactions courses, earning a certificate in business law and a "CALI Award" as the top student in his Real Estate Transactions course. Additionally, as a 711 student, Alfredo participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic at DePaul, where he represented elderly clients facing eviction.
