The stories of natives on the frontlines of a growing movement to reconnect with spiritual and cultural identities that were de Join us for a screening of Gather and a community discussion afterward as a part of special programming during the Earth Day ATX festival. Gather is a portrait of a growing movement amongst Indigenous Americans to reclaim their spiritual and cultural identities through obtaining sovereignty over their ancestral food systems, while battling against the historical trauma brought on by centuries of genocide. This event is proudly sponsored by Full Humanity, the Festival Beach Food Forest, Farmshare and Earth Day ATX. All donations will benefit Great Promise for American Indians, a local 501c3 that offers cultural education and advocacy for Native American and Indigenous communities. Tickets are free, but seats are limited! *Please note COVID precautions are in place and masking is required indoors at Huston-Tillotson University.
