Join us in celebrating the release of Jammie Huynh's award-winning, debut collection, Out of Darkness. Jammie writes through the traumas of childhood and uses poetry to navigate and understand what she has been through in her debut collection. Poetry is where she can make sense of who she is and confront her father on a stage of her choosing.
Jammie Huynh (she/her) is a queer Vietnamese-Ecuadorian poet from Hartville/ Florence, South Carolina. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Poetry at the College of Charleston where she works as an editorial assistant for Crazyhorse literary magazine, soon to be swampink. Jammie's poetry centers around her family and identity. When not writing, Jammie can be found at Harken Cafe waking up half the people in Downtown Charleston.
