Social Work Society and the CSUN Department of Social Work are hosting the 2022 Master of Social Work Hooding Ceremony! Congratulations! The CSUN MSW Hooding Ceremony will take place on May 21, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. This is an in-person Hooding Ceremony celebrating 2022 MSW graduating cohorts including MSW alumni from 2020 and 2021 who were not able to be hooded in person. Graduates/Alumni: Please make arrangements to arrive at Matador Walk by 11:30am. We will walk as a class into the procession to the Library Lawn. Commencement is a dignified occasion. Participants are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. Guests: You will be permitted to find your seats starting at 11:30am. Please ensure that you arrive promptly as we will be starting at 12:30pm. Parking: The most convenient parking is on the west side of the campus (Lots B1, B2 and the B3 parking structure). Please enter the campus at Nordhoff St. and Darby Ave. (one block east of Reseda Blvd.) and follow the signs to the closest available parking. Parking for persons with disabilities will be available in parking lots B1 and B2 and on the first five levels of the B3 parking structure. The B4 visitor lot will also be available. A current state issued "Disabled Person Parking Placard" or "Disabled Person/Veteran" license plate, issued to an occupant of the vehicle, will be required. COVID Safety Measures: At this time, we encourage all guests to wear a mask at commencement; however, it is not mandatory. Proof of vaccination/negative test results will not be required at this time; however, should conditions change we will do our best to notify you. Accommodations: ASL Interpreters will be on site. There is special seating for those who need accommodations. DO NOT BRING: Balloons, noise makers, glass, weapons, alcohol, and animals (except service animals) are not permitted. Any alcoholic beverages discovered on the premises will be confiscated. Any guest obviously intoxicated or under the influence of a controlled substance will be removed from the Commencement site and potentially subject to arrest.
