Keep Hall Beautiful is celebrating the Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup 24th year of cleanup efforts in 2022. Keep Hall Beautiful is celebrating the Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup 24th year of cleanup efforts in 2022. The Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program and runs March 21 through June 22. According to the Keep America Beautiful 2020 National Litter Study, 90 percent of Americans believe litter is a problem in their community. Each year, the Great American Cleanup engages millions of volunteers and participants who take action in their local communities to create positive change and lasting impact. Local partnering organizations, volunteers and corporate sponsors play a key role in the success of the Great American Cleanup. Keep Hall Beautiful, along with other organizations in the Keep America Beautiful national network of 700 community-based affiliates, plan volunteer events and education programs that help to clean, enhance, and protect shorelines; remove litter and debris from roadways and public spaces; reduce waste and improve recycling; as well as beautification projects such as flower planting in public areas.
