INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY Davie Jazz Society Trilogy "The Trifecta Experience" Celebrating Women in Music, Education, Arts and Humanities Highlights from World Day for Safety and Health at Work Davie Jazz Society Honors & Awards Event Details: Both World Day for Safety and Health at Work and International Jazz Day call on participants to pursue meaningful opportunities for dialogue in order to make the world a better place. Music and especially jazz, with its improvisational spirit, is an important forum in which people with different lived experiences can feel heard and valued. Experts say if it is a creatively driven, focused mentality workspace that you are after, you should listen to jazz music, as it comes with a multitude of different cognitive benefits that enrich your mind. The annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work promotes the creation of a global preventative safety and health culture. A jazz ensemble showcases the kind of open, collaborative spirit that is required in order for stakeholders to create cultural change. “When I was first honored by Billboard Women in Music in 2010, there were only 25 women on the list. Twelve years later, over 200 women are on the 2022 list. This shows the moves women are making in the music industry. I am in awe of the next generation of fierce, female leaders who are continuing to pave the way and shine a light on the disparity within the industry. It’s perfect as the month of April is nestled between March (Women’s History Month) and May (Mother’s Day)! This event will take place on SATURDAY, APRIL 30TH , 2022, at 7:00pm at the Long Key Nature Center in Davie, FL with an All-Male Review! The event will introduce our Davie Jazz Society 2022 Chair and will reveal the Robert Roscioli Heritage Award and the Mayor Judy Paul Award. Our all male entertainment will set the place on fire with Grammy Award Winning Jeff Redd, Award Winning Bass Guitarist Rohan Reid, Davie's Sensation The BeatleManiax USA and a jazzy twist of spoken word by Brandon McKay + more.
