Equip yourself to understand the Biblical basis for the full equality of women and men in all areas of life and church leadership! The church has been missing it for too long. By failing to understand and teach the full value of women in every area of leadership (church and otherwise), we have missed out on half of God's creative design. We've been misreading Scripture--and it's hurting us. Culture has devalued women for centuries, and so we have tended to pick-and-choose Scripture in a way that reinforces our cultural biases. But really, the Bible is radically supportive of women in all levels of leadership--including pastoral ministry and equality in marriage. It's time to articulate a clear Biblical vision for women in co-equal leadership. Join us Saturday morning, May 7, from 9-12 for the Romans XVI Workshop. Pastor Tara Thomas Smith (co-lead pastor at Crossroads Nazarene Church) will help us explore a clear Biblical foundation for women to be given access to all areas of church leadership. This is not a women's event--men and women are encouraged to attend. Couples are particularly encouraged to attend together, as are pastors, church leaders, and anyone interested in exploring a Biblical theology of women in leadership. Childcare will be provided upon request.
