Join us for a family-focused Pastry Ride on Saturday April 23 to celebrate 30 Days of Biking, with face-painting and a sing-along for kids! Pastry Rides are back this April! Join us for our fourth Pastry Ride of 2022 to celebrate 30 Days of Biking on Saturday April 23. These community rides include pastries, coffee, a raffle, and lots of good vibes. This week's Pastry Ride is a special family-focused ride, with face-painting and a sing-along for kids at the ride destination. The route will be almost entirely off-road and on the Midtown Greenway and ends at Brackett Park which has a playground. We’ll meet behind Perennial Cycle at 9 am (3342 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408) and roll out at 9:30 am. Please RSVP here and grab a free ticket on Eventbrite before they sell out. Pastry rides are typically 4-6 miles long and end at a park or outdoor space to gather and enjoy pastries. This week's ride will end here. All are welcome. This is a no-drop ride and is both family- and beginner-friendly. We stick together and ride at a friendly, social pace between 5 and 10 mph. Leave your race kit at home! PLEASE BRING: a helmet and a reusable coffee mug. You may also want a lock to secure your bike once we arrive. Dress for the weather. This ride typically will roll rain or shine (or snow). A NOTE REGARDING PARKING: Out of courtesy to the neighboring businesses, we ask that ride participants who arrive by car use the ample street parking available and refrain from parking in the lot behind Perennial Cycle. We will be hosting Pastry Rides every Saturday this month (that’s 5 opportunities to enjoy pastries, biking, and fun)! New rides will be posted every Sunday afternoon. Marshals will be on the rides with first aid kits and bike tools, should any issues arise. A photographer will also be present. COVID19 Safety: This event will be outdoors only and we will not require masks. Wear a mask if that will make you feel most comfortable. We will be limiting capacity of these rides, so be sure to grab your tickets quick! Pastries will be handed out individually by one of our ride marshals.
