Scope: Service Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation, inspection, service and replacement of water pumps and their related systems. Additionally, the Service Manager writes estimates for work to be done. The position is a combination of project management, personnel management and technician work. The Service Manager reports to the business owner and oversees 1-2 technicians. Working conditions: The position is full time: Monday- Friday, 7:00-3:30, with occasional overtime. You will be doing a combination of field work and work in our shop. Field work could be either indoors or outdoors, and sometimes involves working in confined spaces. You will be expected to drive one of our service trucks to field locations. Our clients are typically municipalities, commercial buildings and multi-unit residential buildings. Most of the systems we service are storm water and waste water, and we also serve dewatering systems and well pumps. The work is a combination of mechanical and electrical. Job requirements: • Five years experience in relevant mechanical field; experience with pumps is ideal, and experience with any electromechanical systems is acceptable • Leadership/management experience • Strong communication skills- written and verbal • Strong organizational skills • Current California driver’s license, with clean DMV record • Must be fully vaccinated • Able to lift up to 60 LBS • Dependable and punctual Ideal Candidate will also have experience in the following: • Operating a fork lift • Operating a service truck hoist • Machine shop and welding experience We are willing to train a promising applicant who does not meet all the criteria listed above.
