Press release from the Town of Weymouth: April 19, 2022 Algonquin has been conducting work related to facility enhancements at the Weymouth Compressor Station to bolster reliability, improve compressor unit efficiency, and minimize emissions. As part of this work, the gas in the station will need to be vented to tie-in new equipment. Recompression equipment will be used to safely divert gas into another section of Algonquin's system to minimize the quantity of gas vented during these activities. Venting may occur at the Weymouth Compressor Station between April 26 and April 29, 2022. After the tie-in work is completed, Algonquin will provide a separate notice of venting which is required for commissioning activities. At this time, we anticipate this will take place in June.
