FilmGate Miami Presents: FilmGate Short Film Festival 2022 - Comedy FilmGatos! Get ready for a night of laughs as we showcase the funniest short films in Miami! About us: FilmGate Miami is a non-profit organization that's goal is to ensure the empowerment and growth of local creators and talent. Providing them with a platform in which they can showcase their art, reaching new audiences locally and internationally. She began her career over 22 years ago at Univision, where she produced live shows, documentaries, and news and entertainment segments. As a producer, she conducted interviews with presidents, sports personalities, and celebrities, as well as segments of breaking news and current events affecting U.S. Hispanics. In 2016, Costello became the Director of Content for three primetime programs on Telemundo, helping the network secure record breaking ratings. Melissa is the founder of Home and Holiday TV and is a lifetime member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. - David Christopher is a veteran improviser and improv instructor. Since 1995, he's performed and taught at numerous festivals, theaters and schools. He's passionate about improvisation and teaches a range of workshops covering everything from scenework, to monologues, to formats. He's also a co-founder and co-owner at Just The Funny in Miami, Florida, as well as the executive producer of the Miami Improv Festival. We will only be accepting comedy submissions for this month's event. Rules: -Only Florida directors and filmed in Florida can submit. -For submissions: https://filmfreeway.com/FilmGateShortFilmFestival - Length of the film must be 15 minutes or less. -Those accepted must be able to represent their film at the event; failure to do so will remove you from eligibility. (Must be in person). Starting off the night, we have our Percolator. Sign up and tell the audience your skills, or if you're a creator looking for a professional in particular! You will have 1 minute to pitch. We will also be having an awards segment, networking after the viewings, and much more!
