Description
WATERFORD, CT — Police are searching for two suspects accused of running a scam at a Waterford Walmart that netted them $3,000.
"Here we go, these two allegedly took part in a scam at Wal-Mart on April 16th," police wrote in a Facebook post. "They purchased five $1,000 money orders and by very specific distraction and manipulation efforts, were able to get away while only paying $2,000. The value stolen is $3,000.
"We have reason to believe that they have done the same scam at least four other times at other Wal-Marts in Connecticut."
Photos of the suspects are posted at the police department's Facebook page.
