NEW LONDON, CT — The city council has reversed a previous decision to deny federal funding for renovations at a downtown restaurant run by a man convicted of dealing drugs, according to The New London Day. Joshua Feldman runs Noble Restaurant at 74 Bank St. and had applied for a $50,000 grant via a federal program distributed through the city's Office of Development and Planning.
The council voted earlier this month to deny funding by a 4-3 vote due to concerns about the money going to a man with drug-related charges.
However, the council voted again Monday and approved the funds by a 5-1 count.
