BROOKFIELD, CT — Three Brookfield runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday. Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.
Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.
Brookfield runner Laena Romond, 39, finished the race with an official time of 3:09:04. Gary Ampeloquio, 49, finished with an official time of 3:23:31. Peter Lofink, 61, finished with an official time of 3:58:55, according to the Boston Athletic Association.
