Press release from the Maryland State Highway Administration: The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin a project on Friday, April 22, to resurface sections of asphalt pavement on MD 23 (Norrisville Road) in Harford County. The work will be complete by late June. Contractor crews will patch, mill and resurface sections of MD 23 from MD 439 (Old York Road) to the Old York Road just south of MD 138 (Troyer Road) and north of the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company. The $609,000 project will involve crews working between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be temporary single-lane closures, lane shifts and flagging operations during daytime work hours along sections of MD 23. At each location, temporary traffic signs, reflective barrels and electronic arrow boards will alert and guide motorists through the work zone. MDOT SHA contractor Allan Myers – MD Inc., of Fallston, is conducting the project. MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.
