MEDFIELD, MA — Parents have until 5 p.m., Wednesday to complete a survey intended to help school officials determine the best way to reopen schools in the fall. Superintendent Jeffrey Marsden said the survey was the first of at least three to help with the school reopening process amid the coronavirus pandemic. "As we continue to develop plans for the 2020-2021 school year, I wanted to get feedback around your current thinking of the 'in-person model' for September," Marsden said in a statement to parents. "In this model, all students return in-person to school settings that are appropriately modified to accommodate the health and safety requirement outlined in the DESE Initial Fall Guidance." Marsden said those safety modifications could include altered classroom configurations that distance desk at least 3 feet, additional learning spaces, mask for most students and schedule changes. Marsden asked parents to take this short survey to assist with the planning process.
