Here are the top stories today in New Orleans: A 19-year-old man was among the 3 who were killed in separate shootings across New Orleans shootings on Tuesday. A total of 6 people were shot between three different incidents. (FOX 8 Local First) According to the Orleans Parish coroner, drug deaths are up by 35% this year with fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, present in nearly every case. 94% of people who died by an overdose had the drug in their system. (WDSU New Orleans) A Slidell couple has been arrested after being accused of burglarizing the home of Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser. The couple allegedly broke into the home on April 14th and ransacked Nungesser's possessions, started a small fire and left with a variety of stolen memorabilia.
