FAIRFAX, CA — A group of high school students held a benefit concert in Fairfax over the weekend, and the event raised $1,500 for wildlife, town officials said.
The "Toad Jam" concert was held Saturday at Peri Park.
Aidan O'Reilly, an Archie Williams High School senior who was tasked with identifying and solving a local environmental issue for his environmental science class, developed the idea for the event.
"The Toad Jam Concert organized by Archie Williams High School students on April 9th was a tremendous success!" town officials said in a statement.
"The concert helped to raise $1,500 towards benefiting wildlife. The group hopes that more money will be raised as t-shirt sales continue to raise money towards this worthwhile event!"
