PITTSBURGH, PA — Another shooting on Pittsburgh's North Side has left a man in critical condition, police said.
The shooting occurred in the 1700 block of Rhine Street around 3 a.m. Thursday. When police arrived, they found the man with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
Medics took the unidentified victim to a local hospital.
There were no suspect descriptions and the investigation is ongoing.
The incident occurred about a mile from Sunday's mass shooting in the North Side's East Allegheny section that left two teens dead. Police on Wednesday provided updated information that there were nine confirmed people who suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds, not eight.
The ninth gunshot victim, a male, was taken to the hospital by private means. He arrived in stable condition.
