WOODBURY, MN — A Woodbury elementary student will compete at the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee after winning a regional qualifying tournament last month. Moksh Kanukurthy, a fifth-grader at Valley Crossing Elementary, beat 43 other students in March to win the Twin Cities Regional Spelling Bee and earn a shot at the national title, according to Metro ECSU, which sponsored the regional qualifier.
