EAGAN, MN — Eagan Hockey Association announced that it will receive the Dick's Sporting Goods "Grow the Game" award from Minnesota Hockey at an awards ceremony Saturday. The award recognizes hockey associations in Minnesota that have helped to grow interest in the sport, the association said. EHA said that it has grown youth hockey through programs such as Little Wildcats, which strives to get younger kids involved in hockey. EHA player numbers have increased in Termites, 6U, 8U, Mini-Mites and Mites levels in the past five seasons, the association said. There were 184 players in these programs in the 2017-18 season, and the number has grown to 299 players in the 2021-22 season, EHA said. "Eagan Hockey is honored to receive this award," Lindsay Greenlee, EHA board member, recruiting/retention coordinator, said. "My number one goal has been to make hockey accessible and inclusive for any and every child that wants to play."
