ALAMEDA CA — The city of Alameda is hiring for numerous positions, including part-time Recreation Leaders for the Recreation & Parks Department.
The jobs, open to those 16 years and older, are 15 to 20 hours per week with hourly pay of $15 to $16.55, according to the city.
Rec leaders organize and conduct various recreation programs for youth from kindergarten through high school, including sports, arts and crafts, cooking, dance, drama and city-wide special events and excursions.
"High school students are encouraged to apply, officials said.
The city also is seeking part-time tennis and sports instructors, responsible for creating lessons for groups and individuals, including kids and adults, and helping to set up, take down and store equipment. Pay is $16.65 - $20.23 an hour with no more than 28 hours per week.
All job applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start of their employment, have a recent T.B. test and also be certified in American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR.
