KATIE IS E-LISTED 4/21/22 - she was HEALTHY when she arrived at the shelter in February. Now she is sick from sitting in the shelter and will be put to death - how is this right??? ❌🆘 ❌FOSTER/RESCUE/PLEDGES NEEDED BY END OF DAY 4/21/22❌ UPDATE: Katie has unresolved upper respiratory infection. She does NOT have distemper. Katie, 2 yrs old, arrived at the shelter fairly healthy in February. She had medium energy and was a regular walker for the weekly public dog walks. She has gorgeous, sky blue eyes. She enjoys pets, walks, companionship - like all other dogs. She walks good on the leash. In March she started showing signs of an upper respiratory infection. She was very lethargic and couldn’t move to the outside part of her kennel. Her right eye became very red, swollen, and infected. Tests were done and she was diagnosed with upper respiratory infections.. It is suspected she was scratching at her eyes from allergies or symptoms of the upper respiratory infection. Currently, Katie has a good appetite but the respiratory symptoms remain. Katie would heal faster if she was in a home. She has been on multiple antibiotics for weeks.
