Athletic Dog in search of Athletic Owner

Blueberry is a pit mix (not sure the mix, thinking Boxer maybe) 2.5 year old dog that is super sweet, but also super strong and athletic. My sister and I have owned him since he was 8 weeks old and he's just developed into a lot more than we can handle. We are older couch potatoes and don't have the strength for his high energy. He needs someone that can take him running and hiking and out to play and just be engaged with him near full time. He has beginning training, but is so excited and ready to go, he quickly forgets his manners. Not a biter or vicious in any way, just jumps up and knocks people over in his excitement to play. For this reason, not a good fit for anyone with younger children, cats, or small dogs that don't hold their own. He just wants to play, but is 80 pounds of pounce and that's a lot when you're little. We are really reluctant to let him go, love him to bits, so really hope we can find someone with a lot of love to give him along with the athletic lifestyle. If you're looking for a hippo type pittie, this isn't your guy. We only want a most excellent home he fits into, no rehoming fees or anything desired. Please email if interested.
