Description
George 3 year old male (DOB 06-10-2018) We were told that George is a chihuahua when we received him. George is lap companion who also loves fast running play outside, eating veggies while we garden and he is a true sunbather. George carries a lot of empathy for those around him making him an excellent companion. George came into our home March 7, 2021 as a birthday gift for my little one, as she was on a heart transplant list and we were not sure what the outcome would be. So, during this time, as throughout much of her life, I granted every wish. So, I got George for her. George understood the assignment and they bonded. My little one didn't make it to the heart transplant surgery. I unfortunately, and yes maybe not fair to George, am allergic to animals. I am writing this message from a hospital bed. I now, despite my feelings, have to rehome George. I have no choice. George has not been neutered. When I boarded him, as we left the state for the heart transplant, I was told that there was informational records stating that he had a shot records. I have not been able to obtain those records. So, George will now need to be neutered and receive his shots. George has worked well in a home with multiple animals including cats. George was wonderful with my daughter as a companion. Storytime: with the nurse inside the home with my little one. My little one was experiencing failure, but was outwardly presenting as fine. I was outside in the garden. George came and got me like Lassie. 😆 I go in the house following his lead. The nurse was working on notes on his computer and my little was just sitting with a book in hand. She would look fine to the average eye. I put her on her machine and she was failing. She was in the low 60's while sitting. George knew and he came past the nurse and got me. Story #2: We had had a rough weekend and this morning we were heading to the local hospital for admission for transplant, this would be my little one's last day at home. She was refusing her meds with the nurse who stopped by to check in on her. George is mellow and not a jumper, yet he jumped up on her stool placing his paw on her leg. She got the message and took her meds immediately. I need to rehome George immediately. He will come with ALL the bells and whistles. He doesn't like to wear his clothes for long. He's a laid back chill kind of guy. Warning: George can be hyperactive when he greets you or when we are outside and someone approaches the fence. He does not react much at all to other dogs barking. George is not a chewer. George came to us without any training. He has learned the sit and stay commands. If you have the time to work with him George is a learner, he is a very smart dog. George loves to please.
