Call ), fill out form: https://www.thedogsavers.org/apply-to-adopt/ Hi, I'm Bruin (recommended to be only dog currently). I am set to be euthanized April 23rd, 8am. Why am I E-listed? STRESS and ANXIETY! I’m struggling with shelter noise, and I'm fixated on the noisy fan in the building (could be due to my inability to see well out of one eye). I am struggling in my kennel badly!.... It’s just not humane to keep me here. Who can save my life? I’m a 5-year-old, neutered, brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer mix (57.4 lbs.) I came into the shelter as a stray and was super friendly! When out in the play yard, I love attention and pets! I know "sit" and take treats gently I walk well when outside the shelter but when inside I have “pancaked” (from fear) to the ground but will get up and go with encouragement. Maybe, I don’t want to go back where that fan noise is! I am suffering mentally and need out of this place ASAP before I “lose my mind” and hurt myself!! I haven’t had a dog-to-dog evaluation, but it is recommended that I be an only dog because when in proximity to other dogs, I can stiffen up and get barky and growly. It is also recommended that I meet the entire family before going home. I have a “doggie cold” that is being treated, and I’m on the mend. One more thing…I have this little bump on my lower eyelid. The vet didn’t say she was concerned about it. I hope you still like me? I will need time to de-stress and unwind with opportunities for play and exercise to keep me healthy and happy.
