Local Nonprofit Seeks Help Buying Gifts For 30 Local Families

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Marlborough nonprofit that helps local young people and adults with developmental disabilities needs help making this holiday season bright for some local families. Thrive Support & Advocacy is raising money to buy holiday gifts for 30 local families from Marlborough, Framingham, Hudson, Southborough, Worcester and Westborough. Thrive's goal is to raise $5,000 by Dec. 18 to fulfill each family's wish list — that's about $150 per family. The nonprofit, which began as Greater Marlboro Programs in the early 1970s, has been helping people with developmental disabilities across MetroWest for more than 40 years.
