RIDGEFIELD, CT—After losing his senior season due to COVID-19 at Boston University, Chase Levesque has officially signed and committed to play professional lacrosse for MLL's defending champions, the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Levesque is a 2016 graduate of Ridgefield High School.
Levesque was selected by the Bayhawks in the third round of the 2020 MLL draft. If he suits up for Chesapeake, he will become the sixth Terrier to play in the MLL, joining James Burr ('19), Christian Carson-Banister ('17), Dominick Calisto ('17), Cal Dearth ('17) and Greg Wozniak ('17).
A native of Ridgefield, Levesque enjoyed a fantastic four years at BU, highlighted by a career year as a junior last season. He set career highs in both both ground balls (65) and caused turnovers (31) while also scoring seven goals and dishing out two assists for nine points, all of which were career bests.

Levesque will leave BU ranked fourth all-time in program history with 160 ground balls and 61 caused turnovers, with his 612 forced giveaways good for sixth-most among active NCAA players.
Not only did Levesque succeed on the field, but he also shined in the classroom. He graduated from the Questrom School of Business with an impressive 3.73 GPA and was a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection. In addition to having the best season of his career in 2019, Levesque also boasted a 4.0 GPA as a junior while studying business administration and management. He was also a member of the Bloom Family Leadership Academy.
