I just picked up the guitar last year and played some bass here & there. I dont claim to be the best or strive to be the best but Ill take any chance to rockout. I could read a little music but mostly rely on my ear. I could tell a good note from a bad note. I'd like to be like Kiss in a sense of releasing 2 albums a year. Or even The beatles writing songs for others musicians. If hopefully i find the right dudes to jam/write with I could maybe get that fire back into writing songs again. Queen ( early 70's days) Whitesnake ( early 70's days) Rush, Black Sabbath, Deep purple, Rolling Stones & Beatles. So combination of classic, hard, mod, bluesy rock. I dig heavy, glam, hair, speed metal too. But the sound I have in mind is music that can be played anywhwre & anytime like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin a universal sound. 19-27 Smokers, tokers, drinkers are fine vices but let's hope it doesn't interfere in friendships be it professional or personal.
