Members of the landscape/hardscape crew are tasked with general maintenance and installation for both commercial and residential clients. Tasks change and rotate on a daily basis. Work during spring, summer, and early fall involves cleanups, general maintenance, and some landscape and hardscape installation (i.e., installation of new shrubs, or patio and retaining wall construction). During the late fall and winter, members may be asked to operate as a part of our snow and ice control division. WORK DUTIES: Landscape/Hardscape Installation: - Installation of new plants and bed spaces - Lawn installation and repairs - Installation of landscape drainage systems - Installation of hardscape (paver and stone patios and walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, etc.) - Site grading, drainage and finish work General Maintenance: - Mowing and lawn care - Pruning, weeding, edging - Fertilizer applications - Plant care - Leaf blowing - Seasonal Cleanups – Fall and Spring SKILLS: - Leadership ability and demonstrated positive attitude - Ability to lift 60+ lbs. consistently through the day - Attention to detail and self-motivated -Critical thinking skills - Great listening and reading comprehension - Ability to follow direction from foreman -General knowledge of turf & plants -Willingness to learn the process and procedures set in place by our company - Service high-end cliental EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - High School Degree/GED/Equivalent - Previous experience with hardscape or landscape care preferred - Previous experience with heavy machinery (back hoe, loaders, excavators) a huge plus -CDL license a huge plus - MUST HAVE A CLEAN, VALID DRIVERS LICENSE** (Driving record will be requested).
