Heya! Guitarist here (that got rid of half of you already :P ) So I peruse musicians every so often in hopes of bringing a project I've had going in my brain hole to life. For kind of a bit now. I write some awesome Proggy-Thrashy-meoldic-epic-anthemesque shenanigans. However, being only me, it only really tells my side of the story. As a result, even as in depth as I can go with a piece, it can only possibly be one dimensional. Another side effect of writing it on my own is it can never be played live. Playing something of this vibe would melt the denver music scene. Don't get me wrong I love the Denver metal scene. It is very much alive and well! However, you can't tell me there are some gaps in the genres represented. There is also a lack in technical aptitude I have noticed. I am looking for Bassist, Drummer, Vocals and an additional guitarist ( not a rhythm, Dual lead all the way baby ) and maybe a Key player if I am lucky. I write (not exclusively) in strange time signatures, I love key shifts, I went to school for music theory and love putting a story together. I don't expect everyone to be able to break down the circle of 5ths or recite the grimoire or write an essay on Theme and Variation. But for fucks sake, know your instrument ! I don't wanna write 4-chord wettening ballads or Post-hurtMe-heckTheManThatPaysMe-hard-nut-core growly doomscope jamborees. subgenres are two words max :) Anyway... I know I've either pissed you off or ( well and/or ) set the bar really high for myself. In either case, I have some music I'd like to bring to the world and I need competent musicians to do it ! It's also not a case of "I wrote it play it the way I say". I am collaborative by nature unless no one is bringing anything to the table. I have recordings as well as digital clips ( MIDI bits I haven't gotten around to recording yet ). I'll send you some on request
